

Edward was born in Buffalo, New York, and at the age of five moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was raised.
He is survived by his wife Fran M. Onderdonk Reiche of 40 years.
While growing up in Fort Lauderdale, he attended Our Lady Queen of the Martyrs School and later graduated from Fern Hall High School.
During his years in Fort Lauderdale, Edward was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. He loved sharing his testimony and demonstrated Christlike qualities through his honesty, integrity, and kindness towards those in need.
He pursued education to become a licensed contractor and also completed HVAC training, reflecting his lifelong interest in skilled trades and hands-on work.
In 1969, Edward joined U.A. Pipefitters Local Union 725, beginning a career marked by dedication and craftsmanship. He was widely known for his ability to repair and fix anything that needed attention. For friends and family, he often did this quietly and without expectation, calling it a “labor of love.”
Liking his hobbies of motorcycles and cars when he was young, now turned to browsing for collectibles and antiques as he and Fran traveled the states stopping at antique and 2nd hand stores along the way.
Edward met the love of his life at the age of 18. He began dating Fran, who was 15 at the time, with the off and on approval of her parents—earned through Edward’s willingness to help by fixing things whenever needed. Their relationship marked the beginning of a lifelong bond.
His love of animals, especially his canine “kids” and friends' fur-kids as well, he just loved all God's creatures.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, E. Bert Reiche and Mary Lou Reiche, a sister Suzanne Reiche Hamilton and by his beloved cousin, Ms. Wally.
