Frank J. Parente

Frank J. Parente 80, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2023. He was born on December 15, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Frank and Jane Parente (Wasack). Frank earned his Bachelor’s degree in French from St. Francis College (Brooklyn) in 1964. After college, he served in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain, with 1 year of duty in Vietnam. After active service, in 1971 Frank earned his Master's degree in business administration from Pace University. He started his career at the ITT Corporation as a Management Trainee. He worked his way up to Manager. Subsequent employment was as a VP at Citibank and later on he worked in customer service at Mercedes Benz and A&P headquarters. Frank raised his family in Hillsdale, NJ and later in 2011 moved to Palm Coast, Florida. He was also incredibly proud of his Brooklyn roots.

He enjoyed being outdoors, and good restaurants but he loved getting a great deal -even better, particularly by going to Walmart at 5am. But his greatest love was being with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Neil Francis Parente in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Moira; daughter Kim and her husband Greg Pol; his grandchildren Julia and Kyle; brother Charles and his wife Ticia Parente and many more loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and wonderful friends.

A visitation for Francis will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a funeral service with military honors at 12:00 PM.
