Hertha Joan Schulze passed away peacefully at her residence on June 17, 2019. Hertha was born on February 10, 1935 to Leroy Schulze and Dorothy Jones. She has been a resident of Palm Coast for the past 6 years. With a Doctorate in Medieval Studies and in Philosophy, Ms. Schulze was the author of numerous books. She also wrote articles for Catskill and Life Magazines. She became a professor at Rochester Institute located in Rochester, NY. Hertha enjoyed designing costumes at the Guthrie Theater. She was also very active in the Guggenheim Museum. Ms. Schulze was avid in the art history community. She spoke fluent Russian and enjoyed traveling the world. In her travels she managed to create many friendships all over the world. Hertha was a supporter of Animal Rights and Environmental Issues. Ms. Schulze is survived by her brother, Gregory Schulze and his wife Jill Marie Douville-Schulze of Bunnell, her nieces and nephews Ericka Cote, Christopher L. Schulze, Keith Douville, Stephanie Piscitiello, and Diane Ghekiere along with her great niece, Megan Cote.
