So sorry to hear of John's passing.   He was a top notch professional and it was a pleasure working with him and his teams.  Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I met John in Germany while on assignment by IBM.  He was always professional and a delight to work with as he had a positive  attitude and a fun personality.  So sorry to hear of his passing.  I will always remember John as a GREAT guy.  RIP. Bob Snell

John was my manager at IBM in Rochester in 1978.   He was a  brand new second line manager, and I was a brand new first line manager appointed by him.  On our first meeting, together we noted that both of us were newbies, but he led the way saying we'd mutually  figure out our jobs together.  ... and we did!   John was a strong, practical, and commuted leader!  I respected him as a friend.   RIP John.

I fondly remember the good times with John at IBM in Rochester. - the early days of System 3 development, promotions, great humorous stories (your dog and the Christmas tree!...), K of C meetings and events, golf, poker, and our Friday “Happy hours”  sharing food and fun with a bottle of the esteemed Scotch - Saint James!

I met John through Willie as he was one of the gang that played golf weekly with the guys... whenever I was in his company we always always laughed and talked about the our common love of Casinos (LOL) and that we enjoyed playing scratch/offs. Marcia and family -

I met John when we were both working on the development of the System/3.  Later we became "cube-mates".  And unfortunately John in his very first management assignment had to deal with me as an employee in his department - an assignment he handled like all others with excellence.  John was also a long time member of out System/3 lunch bunch where we enjoyed his humorous stories and intelligent commentary.  And Marcia, I will never forget the trip John and I took to New York in the 442 for the wedding that you could not attend because you were pregnant - a wonderful adventure.  And then when you moved to Oak Meadow, Ann and I would see John running along West River Road - as always impeccably dressed and not a hair out of place even on the warmest days.  We would also see John proudly enjoying a drive in the restored Model A pickup truck.  A few of the great memories of a great friend.  Ann and I extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to you and the family at this very sad time.

When our kids were young our families celebrated many Holidays and  special events together.  As the years sped by,  John and Marcia left for Europe and we went our separate ways.  Recently, we live within a few hours of each other, in Florida, and have shared many good visits and meals.  It is such fun to reminisce.
We will miss John and wish our deepest sympathy to Marcia, Ronald, Katherine, Adrienne and all of John’s family.

John gave me my first manager job at IBM.  I earned it but admittedly he took a chance on me.  It worked out OK and I was always greatful for his belief in me.  He taught me many good things about how to manage.  The main thing he did was be a good manager role model.  He was always impeccably dressed, professional and fair.
Condolences for his Family.

I have considered John a dear friend for a long time.  Whether it was on the golf course, at the bar, across the poker table or  at work, John was a sincere and friendly person.  I will miss him dearly.  My heart goes out to Marcia.

So sorry for your loss  Marcia  and to your family.  I played Golf with John and the crew at Northern hills  every Wednesday, when I could, after work then off to the Bird Cage discussing the week’s events and just relaxing over a few brews.. We were a bunch of Rascals to say the least.  John was a very dear friend whom I’ll truly miss very much.  I remember John & I taking my truck and trailer  to Wisconsin to pickup an old Model A restored pickup that He bought.  This trip I will always remember., I was actually taught how to drink Beer using the Wisconsin  method  Marcia, and now I know they invited the funnel. What fond  memories I will always cherish.  Sincerely our condolences.

John and our friendship goes back to the 1970s when I first met him.  Since then we have been friends, golf trip roommates, work partners,  golf buddies, neighbors and the list goes on.  I will miss you John but thanks for all  the memories and our years as friends.  

John was a longtime friend.. a gentleman...and I have so many fond memories stretching across the world.
