Joseph “Joe” Thomas Lodato passed away in February 4,2018 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on March 26,1923 in Brooklyn,New York to the late Salvatore Lodato and Mary Castagna. He honorably served in the United States Marines during WWII and was stationed in various places including Guam, Guadalcanal and Guantánamo Bay. Joe moved to South Florida in 1979 and lived there for 27 years until making Palm Coast his home in 2006. His memberships included the Elks Lodge and The Nights Of Columbus. Joe loved boating. They spent many fun filled years on the water,tubing, hydro sliding and skiing. Joe named the boat “Christagen” the initials of his children. He was also known to love his “Naps”. Joe will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a great-great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents & his two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years,Linda; children,Stephen (Nancy) Lodato, Gena (Manny) Cruz, Stephen Lodato Jr., Chrissy (Michael) Beaty. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren and his great-great grandchildren, Travis, Kaylin, Cody, Tyler, Riley, Marissa, Madelina and Bentley. Joe will be forever loved and missed by his family. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
