Joyce Ann Soutar

Joyce was born April 10, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Ralph & Virginia Mitchell.

She was raised in West Babylon, NY and graduated from West Babylon High School. After her graduation she worked as a teller for Long Island Trust, then Bank of New York, where she retired in 2003 as head teller. She had an unconditional love for animals and was an active member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Palm Coast and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She enjoyed cruising, sewing, gardening, her cats and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her vivacious personality and big heart.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Soutar, whom she married September 1, 1978; her children; John (Kathleen) Soutar of Centereach, New York, William (Deanna) O’Connor of Walton, New York, Timothy O’Connor of Sidney, New York, and Colleen (Leonard Boone) Soutar of Palm Coast and her grandchildren; Krystal Soutar, Joseph Soutar, Alexis O’Connor, Caragh O’Connor, Nina Soutar, and Noah Boone. She was predeceased by her father Ralph Mitchell, mother Virginia (Ogden) Mitchell and grandson John Charles Soutar Jr.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach.

A funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on 5/20/2020 at 1:00 P.M.
