Lorraine B. Tartaro, 94, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House on May 20,2022. Lorraine Enid (Bourque) Tartaro was born on November 30,1927 in Meriden, Connecticut to the late Edmond J. and Agnes E. Bourque (Jones). She was raised in Norwalk, Connecticut, where she enjoyed spending her childhood and young adult years always being in or around the water. Some of her fondest memories were jumping from the docks during summertime. Upon graduating from high school, Lorraine went on to pursue a lifelong career in accounting and finances. After meeting and marrying her husband John Tartaro in 1975, Lorraine built a beautiful life with her husband buying and selling properties and doing some traveling together. In her later years after retiring in December 1989 from Baldwin/Gegenheimer Corporation as their accounts payable manager, she and her husband moved to Palm Coast, Florida to enjoy their retirement. Lorraine was an avid art collector, antique collector, and shopper. She was a lover of the arts who also loved detailing life’s precious moments via photography and thoroughly enjoyed Frank Sinatra. Tulips and the color pink were her lifelong favorites. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Walsh, John Tartaro; Son-in-law Vernon Burgado; brother Ted Bourque. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Brigante, Pamela Burgado; Son-in-law Michael Brigante; grandchildren, Christina Brigante, Jeff Brigante, Valerie Burgado, Jenifer Burgado, Sara Burgado; great grandchildren Marisa Vaughan and another one on the way expected in the late fall. Services will be private and not open to the public. In lieu of flowers, the family asks any donations in her memory be made to the National Greyhound Foundation or to your dog rescue of choice in loving memory and honor of her beloved greyhounds Scamper and Scampi.
