Louise Marion Howell, 89, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on August 27, 1934, in Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of the late Mack and Lily Summers.
Louise's life was beautifully intertwined with that of her cherished husband, Maynard Howell, whom she met and married in 1957. Together, they nurtured a loving family, raising two wonderful sons.
Her professional journey spanned three decades with General Motors, where she dedicated herself as the Executive Administrative Assistant in the esteemed Oldsmobile Department. Her dedication and professionalism left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working with her.
In 1993, Louise and Maynard embarked on a new chapter of their lives, settling in the sunny embrace of Palm Coast, Florida. There, Louise discovered her passion for the ocean, relishing every moment spent by its serene shores. She adored beach outings, embraced the thrill of travel—particularly on cruises—and delighted in leisurely shopping excursions. In her younger years, she found joy in cycling along the beach, creating cherished memories of carefree days by the water's edge.
A devout member of the First AME Church of Palm Coast, Louise's faith was an integral part of her life. She lent her voice to the choir and dedicated her time as the church's secretary, serving her community with warmth and devotion.
Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Maynard, in July of 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her adoring sons, Gregory (Donna) Howell and Scott (Tracey) Howell; her cherished grandchildren, Darren Battick-Howell, Courteney Howell, Jasmine Howell, Jawan Howell, and Teja Williams; her precious great-grandchildren, Jada Sabree, Eliana Grace Howell, Harley Blue Hutchenson, and numerous other cherished relatives, friends, and church family members.
Louise Marion Howell will be fondly remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and her zest for life. Though she may have bid farewell to this earthly realm, her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
A visitation for Louise will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach. Additional viewing On Friday, May 3, 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral services beginning 11:00 AM.
Louise will be laid to rest in Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Florida 32136; Garden of Love.
