Natalia De Olivera Pedro passed peacefully and surrounded by family on April 23, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Emidio Pedro, and survived and loved by: her children Fernando Pedro (Celeste), Maria Morgado (Artur), Fatima Goncalves (Luis), Isabel Moreira (Joâo), Aida Pedro (Pepe), Victor Pedro (Joana), Luis Pedro (Cidalia) and Maria Pedro; her grandchildren, Daniel Morgado, Michael Morgado (Lindsey), Claudia Alameida (Ricardo), Ivo Moreira, Jennifer (Carlos), Natalia, Nelson Pedro, David Pedro, Christine Pedro (Jason) and Liliana Pedro ( Alex); and great-grandchildren Alice Almeida and Carlos Palma.
Natalia and Emidio began their life together and started their family, in Vila del Rei, Portugal. They moved to Waterbury, Connecticut in 1987. There she presided over the growth of her family, a family she loved deeply and of which she was so proud. She found a way to always be there for them, and each new generation that followed holds her closely in their hearts.
Natalia’s final chapter began when she moved to Palm Coast, Florida with her youngest daughter, Maria, and where grandkids Mike and Liliana have settled with their partners. There, she could spend time with her two real hobbies, crocheting and gardening. She had a remarkable gift for both. If you ever got to sleep or snuggle under one of her crocheted blankets, you know how real that gift was.
Natalia’s family is so very sad at their loss, but Natalia and Emidio raised strong and resilient children, and that strength suffuses the whole family. She will be missed, but soon only the happiest of memories will remain.
Nós sempre amaremos você, mamãe.
