PATRICIA DELARK
(nee Lafferty)
Formerly of Valley Forge, died January 5th, 2018, at age 65. Patty grew up in Roxborough and Valley Forge, and graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor. After high school, she worked in insurance and as a courier, later becoming a mother and homemaker. Most recently, given her lifelong love of animals, Patty joked that she worked as a professional dog walker. Never a fan of cold weather, Patty and her husband Bill Martin moved from Gilberts-ville PA to Florida in the 1990s, living initially in the Florida Keys and eventually settling in Palm Coast. However, she often traveled up north to visit with friends and family, particularly to her family's home on the Chesapeake Bay where she enjoyed boating and playing cards. Patty was best known for her kindness, giving nature, love of music, and sense of humor. Patty is survived by her husband, Bill Martin; son, Tom Delark (Katrina), and stepsons, Tim and Buzz Martin. She is also survived by her 3 year old granddaughter, Julia Delark, whom Patty loved dearly. She was the beloved sister of the late James Lafferty (Marie), Michael Lafferty (Edye), Kathleen Kemery (Gary), and John Lafferty, and favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Phoenixville Country Club, at 11:30 A.M., on January 20th, 2018. In lieu of flowers and in light of Patty's love of Jamaica, contributions can be made to the Issa Trust Foundation at www.issatrustfoundation.com
