Patricia Helvey Wade, 80, of Palm Coast, entered into rest November 18, 2021. Patricia was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia to Eugene and Rosa Mae Helvey on June 19, 1941. Pat was a graduate of Annandale High School, Annanadale, Virginia. After graduation, she went to work for the U.S. Army at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Always independent, she enjoyed the single life by traveling places that interested her.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Manley B. Wade. Pat and Burt met in 1970, when Burt moved in across the street. Pat would be sent over to get her father for dinner and soon got to know the handsome lawyer across the road. After they married, her adventures continued through out their 32 years of marriage. Including traveling on the sailboat, Patricia, a trawler, Voyager, and an RV.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Michael) McKay, her grandsons Mason and Camden McKay, her step-daughter, Pamela (Keith) MacConochie, and many other family and friends. Pat was an active member of Palm Coast Methodist Church, The United Methodists Women's Club, The Republican Executive Committee, The Flagler County Republican Club, and The Palm Coast Yacht Club. At PCYC, she made posters and edited the monthly newsletter, The Pilot.
