She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Morris and Sarah Betty Wahn on October 4, 1944, the eldest of 2 children.
Phyllis was a lover of life who gave herself fully to each and every personal and professional endeavor in which she engaged. She loved her work. A travel agent for over 40 years, she not only gained joy from traveling the world herself, but from arranging that joy for others, as well. She loved to play. Phyllis was often the life of the party. Her smile, and often times her red dress, could be felt the moment she entered any room. She loved her faith. She was involved in her Temple, and her commitment to giving back through Hadassah was one of her greatest joys. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. Phyllis was truly a rare individual who always thought of others before herself, and was fiercely loyal to those she loved. Those who knew her, knew that Phyllis would always be there.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, and her younger sister Ilona Hall of San Diego, CA.
She will always be loved and remembered by her husband of nearly 47 years, Donald, her children Stacy, Ryan and Matt, her 8 grandchildren, and her great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held on February 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida, to be followed by a 12:30 pm reception at Elks Lodge 2709, 53 Old King’s Road North, Palm Coast, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Phyllis’ name to either the Hadassah Central Florida Chapter (reference code PMeinsen) or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
