

Ciro “Sal” Salemi, 91, of Palm Coast, entered into rest April 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. Sal was born in the Bronx, New York to Frank and Marie Salemi on March 16, 1933. He joined the Army and then proudly became a part of the New York Police Department as one of New York’s Finest. As a Roman Catholic, Sal naturally gravitated to the Knights of Columbus, helping the community and his fellow citizens. He later retired from the police force and left Westchester County, New York in May of 1990.
Sal was preceded in death by his first wife Ursula C. Salemi, his mother, Marie and his father, Frank.
Sal is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Salemi, his children, Ursula Ricci, and Andrea Granchelli, step children, Susan White, Jane Albano and Bill Plantikow, sister Frances Reina, his 9 grand-daughters, , his 2 great-grand-daughters and many other family and friends.
Sal was a great man who made an impression on everyone he knew. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Church Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 4600 Belle Terre Blvd on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10-11am with a Funeral Mass at 11am.
