

Susan Ann Coe, 70, of Bunnell, Florida, passed away on February 13, 2024, after a courageous 34-day battle at the Halifax Hospital and Halifax Health Hospice Ormond Beach. She was born on November 5, 1953, in Syracuse, New York, and was a graduate of West Genesee High School.
On Valentine's Day in 1969, Susan met her future husband, Frank Coe, at Whitfields Grill in Marcellus, New York, where Frank gave her a 5lbs box of candy not knowing she was diabetic. Susan came to Germany in early 1974 and got engaged to Frank on New Year's Eve in 1974, they exchanged vows in Camillus, New York and were off on an adventure to Korea. On St. Patrick’s Day 1978 their daughter Emily was born in Wurtzburg, Germany After his honorable discharge, the family settled in Bunnell, Florida.
Susan was employed by Flagler Schools for 25 years. She spent 14 years as School secretary at Old Kings Elementary School. She then continued her career as secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of Flagler County Schools until her retirement.
In her leisure time, Susan found joy in cross-stitching, cooking, and reading. She loved spending time raising her beloved grandson Efrain, her pride and joy. She cherished moments spent relaxing in the Georgia Mountains at their vacation cabin. Susan always put her family first and had a never ending love of life. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Frank, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the Best Friends Animal Society.
Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Gregg Warren, in 2003. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Coe; daughter, Emily Coe; and her adored grandson and son, Efrain, dear friend Mary Ruth Morse and many cherished friends.
