With heavy hearts, we must announce that Valerie Ann Tarala (née Mulatz), born February 6th, 1949, passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Coast, Florida on Monday, December 23rd, 2024 at the age of seventy-five.
She was the anchor of her family, a loving mother and excellent grandmother. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts from North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. Beyond her titles and accolades she possessed an unmatched passion for all things botanical, working as a floral designer for decades while personally contributing to the conservation of monarch butterflies. Her aesthetic sensibilities and eye for color were admired by all who met her. She was a vibrant individual and a friend to many.
Devoted mother of Heather (Jerry) Tarala, Heidi Tarala, Holly (Roy) Waldhauer, and Matthew (Becky) Tarala. Loving grandmother of Carter Kusek, Gizella (Jonathan) Reyes, Kennedy Kusek, Haley Tarala, Clara Tarala, and Leo Tarala. Cherished great-grandmother of Thomas Reyes and Oliver Reyes. She will be honored by close friends and family in a private celebration.
