Victor M. Oliveira

Victor M. Oliveira, 72, of Palm Coast, Florida (formerly of Floral Park, NY) passed away suddenly on February 11, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1949 in Veiros, Portugal to the late Manuel Vaz de Oliveira and Maria N. Victor was a medic with the Portuguese Army. In 1974 he emigrated to Jamaica, New York and started working in an auto body shop. His passion was cooking so he opened Lareira Portuguese Restaurant in Mineola, New York. After many years in the restaurant business he decided to retire and moved to Palm Coast in November of 2021.

His memberships included the Portuguese American Club of Palm Coast. Victor was a very talented man; in his younger years he enjoyed hunting with his sons. He was also an award winning skeet shooter, a wonderful cook who enjoyed going to the beach, swimming and relaxing while smoking his cigars and watching his favorite soccer team Benfica. His greatest love in life was being with his beloved family.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Florinda; sons, Marco (Stefanie) Oliveira, Victor Oliveira Jr; granddaughter, Shea Oliveira; brother, Licinio (Adelaide) Oliveira; sister, Tina (Manuel) Marques and many more loving nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the ASPCA

A visitation for Victor will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
