Yung-Fa “Dick” Wang, 94 of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2021 at Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. He was born on December 20, 1926 in Hangzhou, China. He emigrated to the United States to further his academic studies. He earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering for the University of Michigan and a PhD from the University of Maryland. Yung-Fa spent most of his career and retired as a Mechanical Engineer in the US Navy Department of Defense. He was the epitome of the "American Dream." In 2005 he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area to be closer to their daughter. Yung-Fa was an avid mah-jongg player who enjoyed the Florida sunshine, eating out especially Woody’s BBQ and vacationing with his beloved family. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Wang in 2018; son-in-law, Michael Hewson in 2020. Survivors include his daughters, Catherine Hewson, Debra (Dan) Smith; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many more loving relatives and friends.
