Ernestine "Muggins" Schutz Hohensee

Funeral Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home and Richard Resch by family request, and will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia, Texas with Preston DuBose and Billy Sowell officiating. Interment will follow at Waelder Cemetery in Waelder, Texas. A Family Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia, Texas.

Muggins was born Ernestine Schutz on March 7, 1928 in Cistern, Texas. She was the daughter of John and Agnes (Jurek) Schutz. Ernestine married Fritz Hohensee on April 1, 1950. She liked to care for her flower garden, and help Fritz with his watermelons and tomato plants. She enjoyed going fishing with Fritz and her son Jimmy. She loved to be with her grandchildren, and later her great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waelder, Texas for more than 60 years.

Muggins is survived by two granddaughters; Crystal Cedillo and her husband, Epifanio, Jr. of Waelder, Texas, Ashley Hohensee-Boedeker and her husband, Kevin of Shiner, Texas, two great-grandsons; Rylan Hunter Boedeker and Ryder Hogan Boedeker, one step-great-grandson; Devlin Cedillo, one sister; Dorothy Britt, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Agnes Schutz, her loving husband of 60 years; Fritz Hohensee, one son; Jimmy Lynn Hohensee, two brothers; Eugene Schutz, and John Louis Schutz, two sisters; Christine Morris, and Francis Wulf.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Hohensee will be; Gary Hull, Max Childers, Felipe Martinez, Tommy Blackman, Epifanio Cedillo, Jr., and Chris Pilat. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Beodeker, Rylan Beodeker, Ryder Beodeker, Michael Harris, and William Schutz.
