I just learned two days ago that my friend Beth that I grew up knowing had passed; I'm Pam, Becky's sister. So many good memories were shared by Becky and I with Debbie and Beth that I could not remember all those sunny days of youth, nor list them all in their uniqueness. Summer days cartwheeling on each other's lawns, holidays,, outings together, brushing each other's hair, building children's clothesline sheet tents. One day Beth refused to go back into fifth grade class, upset and saying her teacher was so mean; I stayed with her on the school steps, after recess, for that half hour until she walked back inside. Seems like just last month we were young girls, together. I remember Roger and I pretending at age nine or ten that we were Beth's pets. She had us on leashes, walking us, making us sit or shake, petting our heads. Now she looks down from the heavens with Roger. Nights of kick the can, overnights spent together, dinners at each others' houses, and toys were replaced by band practice together in school. Beth's mom made the best chocolate sheet cake on the planet. Debbie was always so kind and always a great friend to my sister, as well. To Debbie, Bill, Christopher, Katherine and Beth's husband I offer my heartfelt condolences. I just drove past, days before, and thought I would stop by soon and say hi. I hurried past, brushing aside an odd feeling as I looked at Doran. We always kept in touch. I know Beth's spirit knows how much I will miss her laughing eyes, the way she said "Oh Pam!" and shook her head at my silliness, her crazy, fun laugh. I always made her laugh. Why did you leave us, so soon? Please let me know of any memorial service; I will also contact her family in weeks to come. I am Pamela Ett on facebook, if family wishes to contact. My heart has lost another sister.
