Edward Theodore Diebold

DIEBOLD, Edward Theodore – age 71 of Flushing, MI passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 1PM-4PM at Reigle Funeral Homes – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI. Inurnment will take place on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 10AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery – 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI. Edward was born on May 14, 1944 in Glendale, CA to the late William and Julia Diebold. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Susan Biddulph in Flint, MI in1968. He retired in 1995 from working for the Genesee County Road Commission. Edward was a member of The American Legion Post 294, the VFW in Swartz Creek, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Durand. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading, and was known by many for his cooking talent. Edward is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan Diebold; Daughters, Carolyn Davis, and Bethany (Jason) Mester; grandchildren, Alexis Davis, Branden Mester, and Patrick Mester; Sister, Beverly (Stephen) Slisko; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Sue) Biddulph, Newton Biddulph, and Jon (Joann) Biddulph; sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Diebold, Jeanne Biddulph, Frances (Ken) Wilkinson, and Alison (Brian) Dye, and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William Diebold. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to Carriage Town Ministries – Medical Unit.
