Gregory VanRaemdonck

Gregory Ernest VanRaemdonck, age 30, left this earthly life and has moved on to his eternal home in heaven on Monday, June 26, 2017. He was born on May 1, 1987 in Flint, Michigan to parents Timothy VanRaemdonck and Annette (Baumgart) Eldridge; his family later grew with the additions of step-parents Robert Eldridge and Ronda (Sturgis) VanRaemdonck. Greg graduated in 2005 from Owosso High School and later attended Mott Community College. He later moved to Bismarck, North Dakota where he enjoyed time with his brother David Baumgart and sister-in-law, Desiree and their children, Armond, Michelle, and Tristian. Greg was employed by Walmart as a sales associate for the last seven years. He enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and loved reading. His interests included Harry Potter, Final Fantasy, Marvel comics, Magic, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Land Before Time (Little Foot), and spending time with friends and family. Greg accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Huron Beach Community Church and East Flint Church of the Nazarene. Greg leaves to cherish in his memory his parents: Timothy (Ronda) VanRaemdonck and Annette (Bob) Eldridge; grandmother, Charlene (Bill) Hull; siblings: David (Desiree) Baumgart, Jeremy VanRaemdonck, Kaitlynn (Aaron) Gibson, and Sarah VanRaemdonck; step-sisters: Jennifer Eldridge, Michelle (Daniel) Grady, and Christine Anderson; aunts and uncles: Julie and Steve Dickerson, Sally and Ed Gless, Kathleen and Mike Simmons, Margaret Baumgart, Guy Baumgart, Jill Close, Theresa Hall, Joe Baumgart, Anita and Dennis Shannon; nieces and nephews: Armond, Michelle, and Tristian.; god parents: David Jenkins, Liz Allen; close friends, Ryan and Scott; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends in Onaway, Michigan. He was preceded in death by grandparents, George VanRaemdonck, Dutch and Ila Baumgart, Robert Sturgis, Judy Baumgart; aunt, Rhonda Baumgart. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Flushing Community Church, 9500 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, Pastor Terry Bate officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 3-8 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, and again at church, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. Interment at Bendle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Humane Society of Genesee County in Greg’s name.
