GORTON, LAURENCE WILLIAM age 80 passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and 10:00 A.M. till the time of service. Larry was born September 8, 1936 in Flint, MI to the late Spencer and Lucille (Drew) Gorton. He married Shirley M. Lathrop, May 21 1955. Larry owned and operated Buckler Automatic Lawn Sprinkler Co. for the past 37 years. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Shirley; daughter Debra (James) Lindsey of Keystone Heights, FL; sons Steven Gorton of Linden, MI, Bryan Gorton of Flint, Jeffrey Gorton of Flint, MI and Gregory (Sarah) Gorton of Flint, MI;13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Gerald (Mary) Gorton of Burton; many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his son Daniel Gorton; grandson Jason Ross; sister Beverly Schomaker. The family would like to thank the Cardnial Hospice team for taking such great care of our loved one.
