DOAN, Mary Jane – Age 92, of Flushing, formerly of Barefoot Bay, FL, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Pines of Fenton, surrounded by her family. Mary Jane was born August 19, 1918 in Akron, Ohio to Roscoe and Bess (Swartz) Ritchey. Mary Jane moved several times with her family from Ohio to Detroit, then New York State, New Jersey, Florida and back to Michigan. She married Wesley Doan in Detroit on December 20, 1941. She once worked as a hairdresser, bookkeeper, banker and in the retail industry. She loved boating and enjoyed to arrange flowers, winning awards for her work. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Daniel) Kiel; Grandchildren, Jarrith (Heidi) Kiel, Jennifer (Tom) Carvounis and Sean (Courtney) Kiel; Great grandchildren, Morgan, Christopher, Maxwell, Dominick and Garrett; Brother, William Ritchey of Oregon. Mrs. Doan was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Jack Ritchey. A memorial service will be held at Reigle Funeral Home, Saturday at 2:30 PM.
