

Peggy Slattery Kronick passed away on January 5 after enduring the complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Peggy remained hopeful throughout her physical ordeal. Her fun-loving spirit and grateful attitude will be missed.
Peggy was born on June 4, 1955 to Clare Owens Slattery. Peggy’s father, William Slattery, was deceased at the time of her birth. Peggy grew up in Mt. Morris, attended St. Mary’s Elementary School, Powers Catholic High School, and completed her education at Mott Community College. Peggy worked for over 20 years in the Admissions Department at Flint Osteopathic Hospital.
Peggy enjoyed her loving Irish relatives who embraced her throughout her lifetime. She was the ‘fun’ aunt and was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
Peggy will be remembered as a loving and caring wife to the late Peter Kronick, to whom she was married for 25 years. Peter and Peggy were present for multiple occasions with the grandchildren and the nieces and nephews. Peter and Peggy traveled extensively; they accompanied their racehorses on the circuit for a few years.
Peggy is survived by her sister Shannon Betsinger and children Bill (Judy) Olney, Lisa Ruiz, Becky (Evan) Bramble, Brock Lundgren; sister Colleen Clark and children Steven Clark, Michelle Clark, Scott Clark, Malissa Clark; brother Carl (Kathleen) Slattery and children Jason (Katie) Slattery, Ryan (Melissa) Slattery, Angela Slattery; sister-in-law Diane Slattery Orefice and children Michael (Tressa) Slattery, Tim (Cathy) Slattery, daughter-in-law Lori Slattery; sister Kathy (Jerry) Dickson and children Christopher Dickson, James Dickson, Robert (Christy) Dickson; sister Terry (Dave) Corcoran Perrin and children Kimberly Perrin, Shanna Pilisi, David (Jenny) Perrin; nieces JoAnna Bernal and Linda Tanner; 29 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Peggy is also survived by Brian (Kathy) Kronick, Scott (Lisa) Kronick, Dana (Michael) Kronick Buttlar, Erin Kronick Krugel, and nine step-grandchildren.
Peggy was pre-deceased by her husband Dr. Peter Kronick, mother, father, step-father Michael Corcoran, brother Gary and wife Virginia Slattery, brother Pat Slattery, nephews Patrick Slattery and John Slattery, brothers-in-law Joe Clark and Chuck Betsinger.
There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, February 15, 1:00 PM, at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 Pierson Rd., Flushing. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care, Powers Catholic High School, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Envelopes for donations will be available at the memorial service.
