Born on December 26, 1941, Carmen lived a life marked by love, devotion, resilience, and quiet strength. A longtime resident of Fresh Meadows, New York, she was known by all who met her for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. Carmen dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse—a career that reflected her dedication, tenacity, and selflessness. Through her years of service, she touched countless lives with compassion and grace. She was the beloved wife of the late Renato Erandio and a devoted mother to Dennis R. Erandio and his wife Janice, and to Sheila Erandio-Baer and her husband Ascher. Carmen found great joy in her role as grandmother to Ailani, Soren, and Mela. She shared a close bond with her sisters Cleopatra, Esther, and Jane, and held dear the memory of her late brothers Otilio Jr., Giovanni, Felix, and Jose. Outside of her professional and family life, Carmen found happiness in simple pleasures—gardening, dancing, singing alongside her husband, and savoring her favorite seafood dishes. She enjoyed playing volleyball and was a passionate sports fan, especially fond of baseball and tennis, which she loved watching on television.
