Craig was born on December 26, 1967 to Gail M. Peck and Robert D. Stroup. Pooh Bear was raised in Commack, New York, and after an extended collegiate experience in Florida settled in the Big Apple, where he crafted a successful career in commercial real estate management.
Craig was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother Gail, best friend and love of his life Nancy and brothers Carl and Chris (and their better halves Denise and Catherine). Craig was a beloved Uncle to Nina, Alexander and Sarah, and he will be missed by aunts, an uncle and cousins (at least one of whom confessed Craig was her favorite).
Craig loved Vermont, Kiawah Island, golf, snowmobiling, being a Godfather to Nina and egg sandwiches. He was generous and had the ability to make one laugh in the darkest of times.
Most important admonition from Craig: “Don’t look for me in the sky after I die. I will be chasing you after you turn the lights off."
A celebration of life will be held on August 26 at 1pm at Wilton Congregational Church, 70 Ridgefield Road Wilton, CT 06897.
