Dr. Effie M. Mitsis, 56 passed away on May 7, 2014. She was born on June 1, 1957 in Springfield, MA to Konstantinos and Joanna Antonelos. She received her PHD and became a Neuropsychologist. Effie is survived by her loving husband, Christos, children, Konstantina Calabro and Christopher, grandson, Luca and siblings, Art Demas and Peter Dema. Her visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9pm at Frederick Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 8:30am at St. Nicholas G.O. Church in Flushing, NY. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Great Neck, NY. In lieu of flowers Effie’s family requests that donation be made to the Queens College Foundation.
