Gennaro Giovanni Ottomanelli

Gennaro Giovanni Ottomanelli left this life on April 22, 2017 suddenly and without warning on a beautiful spring day. Jerry, as he was known, was born in Toritto Bari, Italy, on December 7, 1953. He came to New York with his parents and grew up in the West Village in Manhattan. He completed his Bachelor's degree at Pace University in New York, while working two jobs. He quickly advanced in his management career, which spanned IT audit manager at Ernst and Young, several management roles at banks in New York City, as well as, senior consulting postions at CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation). For the last ten years he was responsible for financial and "order to cash" technology systems at Novo Nordisk, a Danish pharmaceutical company specializing in drugs against Diabetes. He leaves behind his wife, Valerie L White; his daughter, Amanda Sonnick (husband, Bryan Sonnick and their son, Jake Ryan Sonnick). He is also survived by his father, Vito Ottomanelli; his brothers and sisters, Rocco Ottomanelli, Frank Ottomanelli, John Ottomanelli, Francesca Ottomanelli, Judy D'Aliso and Maria Ottomanell, as well as, their spouses and children. His love of life, adventure and sense of humor touched everyone he met. His smile brightened a room. Jerry's love for his wife, his daughter and his family was unconditional and his loyalty to them and his friends complete. In his quiet strength, he was a rock for his family and a light in the darkness. Jerry knew who he was and was happy if his loved ones were. It has been a gift to share his journey for a while, although we all wish he could have been with us longer. Jerry will be forever in our hearts and a smile will come to our lips when we think of him and share our memories. Funeral service are being arranged in New York.
