Gilberto Enardo Soriano

In 1968, at the young age of 22, Gilberto’s adventurous spirit led him to leave his home in Ecuador to come to the United States and live in New York. He met and married Kattia Julieta Torres on December 16, 1978 and together had 5 children. Gilberto was an entrepreneur and enjoyed a career in numerous occupations such as plumbing, carpentry and property management. He loved reading, cooking, nature, animals, travel and soccer. On more than one occasion he was able to combine his love of traveling and soccer by attending the World Cup Fifa Games in South Africa and Brazil. Most of all, Gilberto’s passion was his love for his family, his favorite pastime was being with his children and family and celebrating every moment life had to offer.

Gilberto is survived by his 5 children, Judith Lastenia (Choni), Gilberto Enardo (Gogi), Kattia Francisca, Julie Mercedes, Zoilita Rosa (Lita); his niece and nephew who he helped raised as his own children, Maria Fernanda and Francisco Ulices; his grandchildren Jackson Lee, Julia Sky, Logan Enardo, Nicolas Fabian, Fabrizio; his 2 sisters, Zoila Rosa and Judith Lastenia; his brother Teodoro Ulices; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judith and Francisco and his siblings, Rosa Elena and Angel Enrique.

Memorial Services are Sunday, January 5th, 2020 at the Frederick Funeral Home at

192-15 Northern Blvd, Flushing NY 11358. Hours for the Wake are 12:00 - 3:00 pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Funeral Ceremony at Church Monday, January 6th, 2020 St. Nicholas of Tolentine 150-75 Goethals Ave, Jamaica NY 11432 at 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
