Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (Nèe Campion) Cloonan and his sister Maureen V. Cloonan.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen of 56 years, his son Joseph Scott, daughter in-law Stacy, and his three grandchildren Caitlyn, Ryan and Devyn. He is also survived by his sister Patricia, brother in-law Ron and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a proud local 638 steamfitter from 1963 to his retirement in 2013. He loved spending his time at Jones Beach and vacationing in Aruba every year. However, his all time favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandchildren.
He was loved and will be missed by his family and countless others.
