Margaret grew up in Manhattan, NY. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in 1951. She was mainly a devoted housewife, but often volunteered for the St. Ann's school and parish in Flushing. She enjoyed reading, speaking on the phone regularly with close friends while enjoying a 1/2 glass of wine, shopping for anything her children and grandchildren needed, and jigging to Irish music.
Margaret is survived by her husband Harold, her three children: Cathy (Robert), Kevin (Kristine), James (Miosottis), and her two grandchildren: Emilia and Jack, who she loved more than she could ever put into words.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents James and Elizabeth, and her two sisters: Ann (Ira Silverman) and Eileen (John Rohan).
A visitation service will be held at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home 192-15 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY between 2-4pm and 6-9pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann's Church 142-30 58th Avenue, Flushing NY on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10:30am. Services will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to www.answerthecall.org, which supports the widows and orphans of both the NYPD and FDNY.
