Family was at the heart of Marino’s life. He took great pleasure in cooking for his loved ones, and his chicken parmigiana was a beloved favorite, showcasing his talent for bringing people together through food. When he wasn’t in the kitchen, Marino delighted in skiing with friends and family, creating unforgettable moments on the slopes.

Marino’s love for his heritage was evident in his frequent visits to family in Croatia. He fondly remembered summers spent swimming in the Adriatic Sea, often in his tiny bathing suit.

Marino’s legacy of warmth and generosity will be deeply missed. He touched many lives with his kindness and brought joy to every gathering.

Marin had a unique gift for making people feel special. His hugs and smiles were a testament to his generous spirit, and his infectious laughter brought joy to those around him. His presence was a constant source of light and happiness in the lives of his family and friends.

The Begonja family will receive visitors at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, New York 11358, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Nicholas of Tolentine RC Church, 150-75 Goethals Avenue, Jamaica, New York 11432. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, New York 11358.

Marin will be remembered for his generous heart and the joy he brought to those he loved. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, dear Marino. Your laughter and love will always be remembered.
