

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Ann David on December 14, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on November 15, 1942, Nancy was a cherished, generous, and cheerful individual whose presence will be deeply missed.
Nancy was a beloved mother to Kelly Mercado and her husband Ron, Kathy McShea and her husband Ed, Karen Butt and her husband Oliver, Kenneth David and his wife Suzanne, and Kevin David and his partner Beth Shuyler. She was a loving grandma to David Mercado and his wife Courtney, Brian Mercado and his fiancée Vanessa Anderson, Steven Mercado, Elizabeth Mercado and her partner Sheldon Riley, Casey McShea, Lorraine McShea, Donald McShea, Daniel Butt, Matthew Butt, James Butt, Mackenzie David, Regan David, William David, Adelyn David, and Owen David. In her later years, Nancy was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Franki Mercado, David Mercado Jr., and Madeline Anderson, who affectionately referred to her as GiGi. Nancy also was a devoted sister to Robert Jewell and the late Richard Jewell and his surviving wife Fran.
Nancy had a deep love for her family and was known for her thoughtfulness and generosity. Her colleagues and customers at State Farm in Bayside remember her as someone who consistently went above and beyond, helping them in any way possible and always making everyone feel valued. Her warm heart and infectious charm connected her to many, forging personal friendships that lasted for decades. Outside of work, Nancy had a passion for reading and was endlessly intrigued by English culture and royalty. She was a lifelong tea drinker and loved a hot cup of English breakfast tea paired with a sweet treat.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on December 19, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Kevin's RC Church, 45-21 194th St, Flushing, NY 11358, on December 20, 2025, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Ave, Flushing, NY 11358, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
Nancy Ann David's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
