Nicholas Anderson, or simply Nick to all who knew him, played many parts and had many accomplishments in this life. Despite everything he achieved, he would rank his role as a devoted husband, adored father and beloved grandfather above all others. He was married to his wife Jeanne for 52 years and together they raised two beautiful and successful daughters, who in turn, together provided him with four wonderful grandchildren.
Aside from creating an amazing family, Nick was a self-educated electrical engineer who literally "saw the future" and designed energy conservation systems fifty years ago -many of which are still being utilized. For this technical brilliance he received several patents and received an honorary degree - remarkable for a man with little formal education.
Nick served his community and church with many years of service in various capacities, but most notably as a basketball coach. He led St. Nick's in Flushing for over a decade, forming and shaping a generation of young men who remember his lessons and character to this day.
Warm and affectionate, charitable and kind, Nick leaves a legacy of love, family, hard work, and achievement to serve as an enduring example to those he leaves behind. His eternal rest has been well-earned. He will never be forgotten.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.frederick-fh.com for the Anderson family.
