

Rose Porricelli, a devoted and cherished soul, passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on July 13, 1929, Rose was a resident of Flushing, New York. Her life was marked by wisdom, humor, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late William John and a loving mother to Joanne (and her late husband Joseph) Pugliese, Mary Ellen (Stuart) Goodman, Bill (Tina) Porricelli, Richard (Carol) Porricelli, and Susan (Joseph) Sclafani. She was a proud grandmother to Dana Rose, John Anthony (Kristen), David( Amanda), Michael, Brian, Daniel, and Savannah Rose, and a great-grandmother to John Anthony III. Predeceased by her siblings Michael the first, Michael, Louis, Gerald, Elena, Mary, Ann, and Paul, Rose was devoted to her family and over the moon about her grandchildren and her first great-grandchild.
In her personal life, Rose loved her slot machines and Bingo, and she had a passion for cooking, especially for larger groups of people. She was known for her calm demeanor, never stressed, and her legacy as a two-time cancer survivor is a testament to her resilience and strength.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on February 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215-35 38th Ave, Bayside, NY 11361, on February 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377, from 11:45 am to 12:00 pm.
Rose Porricelli will be remembered as a devoted, cherished, wise, humorous, and gentle presence in the lives of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Rose Porricelli.
