

Rudy Freeman was born on April 4, 1965 in Liberia, West Africa to George Varney and Catherine Freeman.
He moved to the United States of America on June 4th, 1969 with his parents and they resided in Flushing, Queens, New York for most of his life.
He attended Jack and Jill Nursery School, P.S. 165, J.H.S. 189 and John Bowne High School. After schooling, he worked for Trade Wind Tours Travel and Xerox Company for several years.
To know him was to love him. Rudy was an affectionate, compassionate, kind, and loving son, brother, father, cousin, uncle and friend to many in the Flushing community. In his youth, Rudy enjoyed playing baseball. He loved dogs and owned several breeds. His love for cooking made him a chef to many. He also enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards.
He is survived by his children Krys Freeman and Troy Freeman; wife Monique Minnus-Freeman, her sons Sheldon Minnus and Michael Minnus; mother Catherine Freeman; siblings Verline B. Freeman, Varney D Freeman, Kornor Freeman-Camanor, Jebeh Freeman, Hagi Freeman and Vanessa Freeman; sister-in-law Donna Freeman and brother-in-law Guy Mitchell; nieces Artiera, Vanessa, Shatia, Sarafina, Laverne, Varne', Nyasia, Jaylin, Sia Vicale, Sia Wata, and Chanel; nephews, Jermaine, Christian, Marquis, Nyshawn, Xavier and a host of other family members and friends.
Rudy is predeceased by his father George Varney Freeman, sister Laverne Mitchell, and brother Emmett Freeman.
