Thaddeus Leland Mayfield

Thaddeus was the son of the late Alfred and Ruth (nee Mayfield) Schexnider. Thaddeus grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana and graduated from W.O. Boston High School. Thaddeus earned his Bachelor's Degree at Hunter College and a Nursing Degree from Creedmoor School of Nursing.

He was the beloved husband of Loretta Mayfield, loving father of Jeannine Louise (Peter) Mayfield-Marchette and Christopher O'Rourke. He was the cherished grandfather of Adrian James (Caitlin)Esquilin, Dylan Thaddeus Marchette, Isabella Rose Marchette, Veronica O'Rourke and Aidan O'Rourke. He was the adored great grandfather of Miles Thaddeus Esquilin. He was the dear brother of Alvin James Schexnider and he was predeceased by Alfred Schexnider, Lois Schexnider, Louise Graves, Manella Parker, Kenneth Schexnider and Sandra Schexnider.

The family of Thaddeus Leland Mayfield will be receiving visitors at the Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11358 on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We will gather at the funeral Saturday, May 25th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM before we proceed to the cemetery.The funeral will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery. 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11792.
