

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas C. Verruso on February 11, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Thomas was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather who touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
Thomas shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Margaret, creating a legacy of love that spanned a total of 61 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for each other.
A proud and caring father, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love in his children: Laura J. Verruso, Yvonne Verruso and her husband Rolando Lopez Del Castillo, and Thomas L. Verruso. His presence and guidance will be deeply missed by his family.
Thomas was an adored grandfather, bringing joy and laughter into the lives of his grandchildren, Alexia, Angelina, Victoria, Sofia, Nicky, Lou, and Anthony. His love for them was immeasurable, and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Thomas faced the challenges of life with courage and strength, particularly as he battled cancer. His resilience and determination inspired all who knew him, showcasing a spirit that never wavered in the face of adversity.
A man with a contagious sense of humor, Thomas had the incredible ability to make anyone laugh. His quick wit and lighthearted nature endeared him to friends and family alike. Thomas had a passion for sports, especially hockey, and was a dedicated fan of the Rangers. Football also held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed sharing the excitement of the game with those around him.
Thomas C. Verruso leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring strength. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

The family of Thomas will be receiving visitors for a Memorial Service on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, New York 11358.
