William Higgins, 71, of Flushing and Rockaway Beach, NY passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born in Astoria, Queens on August 25, 1943. Beloved son of the late Austin and Marie Higgins, loving brother of the late Austin Higgins, Jr. and Jacqueline and John Colgan. Devoted Uncle of Kenneth, James, Kaileen and the late David Colgan. Dear Grand Uncle of Ryan, Allie and Michael Colgan. Bill was a graduate of St. John's University and prior to his retirement was employed as a Program Analyst. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dolores Brennan and her family for their care and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2nd, from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. The funeral mass will be held at St. Kevin's Church at 10:45 am on Monday, November 3rd, followed by the interment at Calvary Cemetery.
