Adam was a devoted husband to Melissa Shindorf Burgh and a loving father to his daughter, Addison Lynette Burgh. He was the cherished son of Edward and Catherine Burgh and grew up alongside his three brothers, John, Brian and Joshua, and one sister, Melissa, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
Adam found joy in serving others through his volunteer work with the local rescue squad, where he made a meaningful impact on his community. Known for his wit and endless repertoire of dad jokes, Adam brought laughter to those around him. His love for animals was evident in the care and compassion he showed them throughout his life. Above all else, Adam’s greatest passion was his family, whom he loved deeply.
Adam’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of kindness and humor bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
A chapel service for Adam will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Sinai Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the chapel service will be a committal service from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 83-45 Cypress Hills St, New York, NY 11385.
