He had just celebrated his 92nd birthday.
Edmund, or Eddie as he was affectionately called, was a rich man—rich in the love he gave to his family and rich in the love he was given by them. He was selfless and humble, never seeking the spotlight, but always ensuring those around him had what they needed and more. His family was everything to him. He worked hard to build a career at Solomon Brothers at which he excelled and which allowed him to provide for his family. He was able to send his children to college and graduate school, and he retired early so that he could take care of his beloved wife, Madelyne, who passed in 2002.
Edmund was a die-hard New York Giants fan, enjoyed drawing, and loved to play checkers and Connect-4 with his granddaughter. If you watch The Red Shoes, A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim, or listen to Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, or Elaine Paige, you will probably see Edmund smiling, happy to know that you have fine taste.
His children are comforted knowing that he is now reunited and dancing with the love of his life, and discussing World War II history with his brothers, Martin and Leo.
Edmund is survived by his loving children, Jason and Julie; his son-in-law, Andrew; his adored granddaughter, Hope; and nieces and nephews.
