Condolences to the Cohen family on your loss.  Sarah Malkah was an admirable, loving and supportive person.  May her memory be for a blessing.

Molly sent this a few years ago.  She has touched so many hearts.  I know she will be in ours forever.

I first met Malkah and Moshe in shul. I remember Malkah saying, “I don’t know you yet. You have to come to us for Shabbat.” And that turned into Sukkot, and that turned into an amazing relationship.
	When I lived in Kew Garden Hills, Malkah was the Den Mother for all the twenty- and thirty-somethings. We always had a place at her table, whether it was Shabbat, Yom Tov, Tu B’shvat, or a random “Here I am – I need a hug” moment.
	She was a life coach, a friend, a mother, and she always had a different perspective to share. She could find the good in difficult situations, or created the good for a new situation.
	We learned together, we sang together, we mourned together. She was always there for a hug, for a cup of whatever beverage was available, for advice, for whatever.
	The mold was broken after Hashem made Malkah, but Malkah made a point to teach, to make Torah fun, to share her love of Judaism at every turn.
	It is hard to classify what my relationship to Malkah was, so I won’t even try. But it was special. The world is a much richer place for having her, her Torah, her influence, her advice, her everything.
	We will miss her. I will miss her. But as long as we live to be the best versions of ourselves, Malkah will never be gone, even if it is a lot harder to access her love from here.

The Matriarch of our family and family history. She will be deeply missed and the remaining two sisters have a large legacy to carry on by keeping her memory alive. I being the daughter of the youngest sister will do my best to help carry the load for her and my mother. Know that you all are in my heart and thoughts during this hard time.

Malkah was an amazing woman. Always giving of herself, always sharing, even when she did not have enough for herself. She took in her father when he needed a place , and gave him a whole new family of “grandchildren “, whom he loved dearly. 
Malkah, sorry i could not be there in person, My condolences are just as sincere from South Carolina.  We will all miss you. You are up there now and probably helping g-d with running heaven!!  Love you Ema

Malkah was instrumental in my fitting in to the Kew Gardens Hills community.  Many of the friends I have now I have because Malkah made sure I had female friends while dating my husband.  She was a huge part of the Woman’s music group that meant so much to me.  Malkah took my mother by the hand and helped her navigate the world of Orthodox Judaism.  She has been my surrogate mother, Ema for so many years now.  My deepest condolences to Abba, Yitz, Cindy, Yonatan, Jamie and Nesya.  To Malkah’s sisters and their families.  To the Etz Chaim family and the Kew Gardens Hills community at large.  We have all lost a gem

Malkah was a very sweet person and she would help you in a heartbeat I needed to go to the doctor to recast my nose and Malkah took me I told her the wrong time but she took me and we just had a great day Malkah you are going to be sorely missed by everyone I love you to the moon and back my sincere condolences to Jamie Nesya Yonatan Yitz and abba and to the entire family

Malkah opened a world of learning for me and helped me find others to learn with. She provided the table we learned at at first and even when the learning moved to other homes, she was the guiding spirit making it possible.

Words cannot begin to say the role Malkah played in my life.  It was at the shabbos table she and Moish kept for the immediate world where I met friends I have kept for decades, one of whom in turn introduced me to my wife.  Who in turn was also made welcome at that shabbos table as well as at sheva brochos they hosted 25 years ago. Malkah filled her home, her shul, her community with warmth and love and knowledge and soul.  She inspired us and will continue to do so.
