Adrienne and I liked being with Victor from the day we met him more than 45 years ago.  We loved him because he was easy to talk to, caring and compassionate, smart and knowledgeable and fun-loving. We felt that he was a perfect companion and life-partner for our cousin Judy.  

Victor had a font of knowledge about so many subjects.  It was a delight to have a conversation with him, because you would learn so much.  But you always felt comfortable – never intimidated. He would share his know-how with you without any sense of condescension or pretense.  

Victor was a genuine person; he never tried to be someone he wasn't and he treated everyone with kindness and dignity.  This is what made it so pleasurable to be with him.

It was so sad to see such a vibrant and intelligent man start to deteriorate in the last few years. We had been used to always learning something new when we were with Victor. Sadly this became less frequent and now even more tragically this won't ever be possible again.
It's at a time like this you that always wish you could ask him just one more question. We will seriously miss Victor but we will cherish our memories.

We extend our condolences to our cousin Judy, who will feel his absence most acutely, and to all those who knew and loved Victor as we did.
