Ellis Bruce Tilson

Ellis Tilson of Forest Park, GA died on Saturday September 24th, 2011 at the age of 83. He was born the youngest of four children on August 5th, 1928 in Columbus, GA. He married Rebecca Foxworth on April 18th, 1948. They moved to Forest Park, GA in 1956 where they raised their family. He retired from Stevens Graphics where he worked as a printer.

He is survived by his four children, a daughter Donna Lawing of Forest Park, GA, a daughter Patty Doman of Jonesboro, GA, a son Michael Tilson (Dawn) of Jonesboro, GA, and a son Stephen Tilson of Forest Park, GA. He has 10 grandchildren, a grandson Steve Eberhart (Shari) of Loganville, GA, a granddaughter Lori Eberhart Hosmer (Brian) of Newnan, GA, a granddaughter Janet Teal Lukat (Rob) of Dacula, GA, a grandson Douglas Doman of Nicholls, GA, a grandson Michael Doman (Kaycee) of Longmont, CO, a grandson Robbie Doman (Kimmie) of Windsor, CO, a granddaughter Rebecca Tilson Zimmerschied (Brian) of El Paso, TX, a granddaughter Jenna Tilson Suderman (Brandon) of Stockbridge, GA, a granddaughter Kristen Tilson of Jonesboro, GA and a grandson Dale Tilson of Columbus, OH. He also survived by 12 great children and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents William Joseph Tilson and Tura Mae Wheeler Tilson of Columbus, GA, his wife Rebecca Foxworth Tilson of Forest Park, GA, a brother Ezell Tilson of Pascagoula, MS, a brother Ernest Tilson of Columbus, GA and a sister Eloise Tilson Harvey of Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends at Parkway Garden Chapel in Forest Park on Tuesday September 27th, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 28th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA.
