It is with great sadness that the family of Burdett Thomas Sisler announce his passing on April 2nd, 2026 in his 111th year. Burd passed at Garrison Place surrounded by his loving family at his side. Those left to cherish his memories include his children Sharon (Dave) Gill, Elizabeth (Christopher) Argentino, Burdett Adam Sisler, Norman (Margaret) Sisler, Lorraine Mars, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren.
Burdett was predeceased by his loving wife Mae in 1985, his granddaughter Deborah McPhee Pereira and son in law Jan Mars.
After serving in WWII as a telecommunication mechanic, Burd and Mae moved to Fort Erie to raise their family. He found employment with Canada Border Services where he worked for the next 30 years retiring in 1979. He always joked about being retired longer than he worked. Dad was a dedicated community pillar who generously gave his time to numerous local committees and organizations.
The family extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Csanadi, Dr. Scher and Marty Robbins as well as a special thank you to Sarah McPhee, the staff and volunteers at Garrison Place for always taking such good care of Dad and his family.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #71 or a charity of your choice.
