It is with profound sadness we announce Philip Frederikus Leonardus Popering passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 47 with his family by his side. Adoring father to Knox Popering. Proud brother of Krista (Bill) Connor. Loving son to Adele and the late Fred Popering. He will be dearly missed by his aunt Maria Flacco, his uncle Louis (Mindy) DiFrancesco, his nephews William and Andrew Connor, and his grandmother Lena DiFrancesco. Philip is predeceased by his father Frederikus “Fred”, his grandfather Luigi DiFrancesco and grandparents Fred and Viola Popering.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday April 24th at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Avenue in Fort Erie, from 11 am to 1 pm. A Funeral Service will follow visitation, in the Funeral Home Chapel. A private rite of committal will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CASON or The Kidney Foundation and would be appreciated by his family.
