Robert Jacob Steger, of Fort Erie, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, in his 90th year.
Robert was the devoted husband of Maryann Steger, sharing many years of companionship and family life. He was a proud father to Laura Ann Mueller (Edward), Maryann Lovering (Donald), and Robert Philip Steger, and he cherished the time he spent with them throughout his life.
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Gregory, Stephen (Kristin), Mathew, Denon, and Megan, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Robert is survived by his sister, Carol Simpson (Hugh). He was predeceased by his brothers Franklin Steger and Donald Steger, as well as by his parents, Catharine and Jacob Steger.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. A private family service will be held at a later date to honour his life and legacy.
