

Allan was born on October 16, 1938 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario to the late Dan and Ida Singleton. He had worked as a rock driller for many years. He was also a guide and trapper. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved playing the guitar, fixing snowmobiles and lawnmowers. Most all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Allan is survived by his son Allen and his daughters Jada and Keira and their mother Tammy Bruyere. Also left to cherish his memory is his brother Roy Singleton and family of Dryden, his sister Daisy Miller and family of Indianapolis, Indiana, five step-children, Jan Bruyere, Cathy (Robert) Perreault all of Couchiching First Nation, Darrell (Cindy) Klyne of International Falls, MN, Brad (Bonnie) Klyne of Surrey, BC, Tracy Linden of Atikokan, numerous step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his first wife Carol Ann Singleton, his second wife Elaine (Mainville) Singleton, his parents Dan and Ida Singleton and siblings Fred, Lester, Norman and Jane.
A gathering to celebrate Allan’s life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. till 12 noon at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario.
The honourary pallbearers will be all of Allan’s family and friends.
