

Bertha was born on February 13, 1926 in Fort Frances, ON to John and Cordilla Fournier. She lived in Fort Frances all her life. She was united in marriage to Joey Ossachuk on June 27, 1951 and they built a beautiful life together. They raised 3 children, spent many summers at Windy Point and traveled in the winter, travelling coast to coast. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Canada before joining Brockie’s Jewelers. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and had especially enjoyed the last several years with her condo friends.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Cordilla; husband Joey; sisters Dora Boudreau, Van Alamblad, Jacqueline Cousineau and Beatrice Puchalski; brothers Emile, Alex, Everette and Adolph Fournier; daughter-in-law Elaine Ossachuk; in-law John and Lena Duchnicki, Sadie and Mike Kowalchuk and Edith and Stan Dolyny.
Bertha will be greatly missed by her children Jack (Kelly) of Kelowna, BC, Patti (John) Johnson of Fort Frances, ON and Cookie (John) Herbert of Red Deer, AB. Baba will be greatly missed by Justin and Jordon Ossachuk, Jodi Easton (Ron) and Sandi Johnson, Trent (Karen) Herbert, Teri (Trent) Hunter, Jacob (Jason) Munn, Adam Betts and Jason Easton; Bobie to Ryley and Shae Herbert; Madison and Mason Hunter, Landon Johnson, Sayler and Maelle Easton, Ty and Mackenzie Ossachuk and Adam and Tyler Wallace.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, ON with Father Gino Mathias officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
