Diny was born March 8, 1957 in Fort Frances to the late Elmer and Helen Eide of Fort Frances, ON.
Diny was united in marriage to John Kirk on November 15, 1980. Together they raised two children whom she loved more than anything.
Diny grew up in Fort France and attended McIrvine, JW Walker and FFHS. Then went on to graduate from nursing and continued her career at LaVerendrye Hospital where she retired due to health.
Diny enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and her little shopping trips. But most of all, she loved her time spent with her grandchildren. They were the true light of her life.
Diny is survived by her husband John Kirk; son Kristopher (Leah) Kirk of Sioux Lookout, ON and daughter Lindsay (Richard) Ivanowich of Fort Frances, ON. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Delcie Ivanowich, Liam, Mikaela and Madison Kirk. She also leaves to mourn her best friend and sister, Sandy (Gord), brother Alan (Shawn); brother-in-law Ray (Linda) Kirk, sister-in-law Anne (Delbert) Deschamps; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Elmer and Helen Eide; sister Marlene Olson.
A celebration of Diny's life will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances with Peggy Mason officiating.
The honorary pallbearers will be the dialysis nurses and her dialysis family from LaVerendrye Hospital.
